Kale Soup for the Soul: Luso-American Writers, Now Appearing In Chicago

If you're planning to be in Chicago this Friday, March 2, dig out a spot on your calendar for this reading of Luso-American writers, including Disquiet faculty poet and novelist Frank X. Gaspar, Oona Patrick, Paula NevesMillicent Borges AccardiCarlos J. QueirósLara GularteCarlo Matos, Linette Escobar, and Tony J Roma. The event is free and open to the public, and will also feature refreshments and music from Chicago band About A Girl. There is nothing not to like about this event! It will begin at 6:30 PM in the Washington Room of the Chicago Cultural Center, 5th floor, 78 E Washington St..

As a bonus for those of you already attending this year's undoubtedly epic AWP conference, all of these things are only a five-minute walk from the Palmer House Hilton. Michigan Avenue is right there and there is almost no risk of getting lost. Come on, it'll be fun!

And if you absolutely can't make it because you aren't going to be anywhere near Chicago, they're going to be livestreaming all of it right here.
